Initial impressions were positive. Our server was very polite, but clearly new to the job. Apps and salads were very good. When our entrees arrived, everything looked delicious. Chicken Marsala and Piccata, and a generous portion of lasagna. When I cut into the lasagna though, I discovered it was still cool and hadn’t been thoroughly heated. I know lasagna is always made in advance and needs to be reheated so no big deal. Waiter brought the lasagna back to be reheated and when he returned with the now warm lasagna, I was shocked at what the kitchen had done. My lasagna was now a small scrap of noodle, meat, and several handfuls of cheese thrown on top to hide how little lasagna was there. I commented to the waiter that the reheating had really shrunk my lasagna and he said they had very powerful ovens. I truly do not fault our server, but this is where inexperience hurt. A seasoned waiter knows what a meal should look like and is the first advocate for the customer, pushing back on the kitchen when they notice a problem. But I was left with a spiteful line cook, and could only imagine what would be done to my lasagna if I sent it back again. So I ate my diet sized port

First time. Pros: atmosphere good and service very attentive. Old fashioned very well balanced. Fillet mignon was perfect. Special tonight smoked gouda / potato soup with finely shredded bacon was excellent! Rich, creamy, satin finish, simple and straight forward. I'm am going to try to reproduce at home for sure! Cons: chicken picatta was dry with no dicernible lemon/butter sauce served on wilted spinach and roasted potatoes instead of pasta...would not recommend. Shrimp scampi was under seasoned and bland. Loved it. I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and broccolini, and my wife had chicken fettuccine alfredo. I think the broccolini was some of the best I had, and my wife said her fettuccine was five stars. The bread and toasted ravioli for appetizers were also very tasty. Service was very fast and friendly. My only complaint is that they could up their fancy drink game a bit by not using ice straight from an ice tray.

We came in on gallery night on Palafax and met the owner, Paul, who checked in on us and shared stories to make our birthday evening so much fun. He gave us a good luck $2 bill just like his grandfather used to give to him! What a special memory for us! Now to the food…the charcuterie board was amazing! We ordered mainly appetizers since we were enjoying the street fair. The soup of the day was Italian wedding and it was so flavorful! It didn’t have the mini pasta balls that I’m used to in IW soup, but it was really good! Ordered calamari, bruschetta, the Caesar salad, and fettuccine Alfredo. Oh, the bread they served with meal service was SO fresh and warm! I asked for butter with mine. Our waiter, Joey, was fantastic and very attentive. Water was always kept full. Will be back! Ask Paul for his other restaurant locations!

Had our first dinner here for our anniversary. The service and food was absolutely amazing. Our waiter was patient and attentive with my gluten allergy. He was knowledgeable and able to guide me with what I could and could not eat. It’s hard eating out and sometimes I can’t eat if the server doesn’t know what is in the food or menu. So thank you for making our anniversary memorable! Highly recommend
